Actress Rimi Sen acted in several hit films. His fans still remember his characters in films Hungama, Golmaal, Phir Hera Pheri and Garam Masala. However, after this Rimi could not do anything special in Bollywood. Now she is working hard to make a comeback in the industry again.
Films had to be used for money
In an interview to ETimes, Rimi said that she gave auditions for several big films. She did not get selected despite good response. There was a time when he had to work only for money. Rimi says, ‘I started my career with music videos and songs because I was working because of financial needs. I had no degree for Rosie Roti. If I am a classical dancer, the expressions come on their own. I never chose this profession but it chose me. I did not like to come to notice. Nor did I desire attention and fame. Made a portfolio and I started getting modeling offers. Thinking of it, I came to films so that I would be financially secure. The purpose of my life was to earn only money.
Auditions of ‘Swades’ and ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ were given
Rimi says that she was getting the same role offers. She was typecast in the role of comedy films. She got tired of doing all this. The serious films he did could not do anything special in the industry.
Rimi also auditioned for Ashutosh Gowariker’s film ‘Swades’. He said that ‘I had done an advertisement with Ashutosh, then a relationship was formed with him. Then I auditioned for ‘Swades’ but later Gayatri Joshi was selected. I also auditioned for ‘Munnabhai MBBS’. Positive response was received but that role was found by Gracie Singh. So in this way I lost good rolls. However this happens in the life of an actor.
Rimi is currently looking for a comeback on the OTT platform. He feels that OTT has changed everything where actresses who have crossed 30 are also in the lead role.
