In Betul district of Madhya Pradesh, Congress leaders have threatened that they will not let the actress shoot the film in the district if Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut does not apologize to farmers for her tweet. BJP leader and state Home Minister Narottam Mishra said on Thursday that the state government will ensure that ‘Sister Betty’ Kangana is not harmed during the shooting. The shooting of Kangana’s new film ‘Dhakad’ is going on in Sarni area of Betul district.
Manoj Arya, Secretary of the State Congress Seva Dal and Nekram Yadav, Chairman of Betul District Chicholi Block Congress Committee, issued notice to a Mamlatdar in Betul on Wednesday. The Congress leader said that if Kangana did not apologize till Friday evening for her remarks against the ongoing farmers movement on the Delhi border, she would not be allowed to shoot in the table area. Congress leaders have accused Kang of defaming farmers.
Reacting to the matter, Home Minister Mishra said that State Congress President Kamal Nath should stop his party workers from obstructing the shooting of the film. “I have spoken on the telephone to Betul’s Superintendent of Police,” he said.
