Actor Abhishek Bachchan has confirmed that he was hurt after reports of his recent hospitalization where several family members including his father Amitabh Bachchan and sister Shweta Bachchan Nanda visited him.
Abhishek Bachchan on Friday shared a picture of himself in a sling on Instagram. He pointed his thumb through his plaster. In his caption, the actor wrote, “Last Wednesday on the sets of my new film a freak accident happened in Chennai. I fractured my right hand. Needs surgery to fix it! So a quick trip to Mumbai. Had surgery, all patched-up and cast. And now to resume work in Chennai. As they say… the show must go on! And as my father said… Mard ko It doesn’t hurt! Okay, okay, okay, it hurts a little. Thank you all for your well wishes and speedy recovery messages.”
Abhishek was hospitalized for a month last year after being diagnosed with coronavirus along with his family. While Abhishek was released soon after by his father, wife Aishwarya Rai and daughter Aaradhya, he remained under observation until his test turned negative.
Abhishek was last seen in the Netflix film Ludo and the Amazon Prime Video series Breathe: Into the Shadows. He starred in The Big Bull earlier this year, which was based on the true story of stockbroker Harshad Mehta. The film is now available on Disney+ Hotstar. This is followed by Bob Biswas, a Kahaani spinoff, and Dasvi, who co-stars Yami Gautam.
