Congress’s Imran Masood rides on Akhilesh’s cycle, FIR registered against him

New Delhi. Two days after the announcement of the dates for the assembly elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress party has suffered a major setback. Imran Masood held a meeting with the supporters at his residence in Saharanpur and during this he talked about strengthening the Samajwadi Party. Imran Masood, who is considered close to Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, along with his supporters announced to join Akhilesh Yadav’s party SP. At the same time, he announced to leave the Congress and join the SP.

Shortly after this meeting, Saharanpur Police has registered a case against Imran Masood and 10 of his supporters along with 300 unidentified people at Qutubsher police station for violating the code of conduct and corona guidelines. Imran Masood joining hands with the SP, just before the upcoming assembly elections in UP, is being considered as a big setback for the Congress. Imran Masood has been close to former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi. Earlier, Imran Masood said that there is a direct contest between SP and BJP in UP, the present BJP government is the enemy of Hindu-Muslim unity. Masood said that now a government will be formed under the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav, which will give security to the youth, farmers, businessmen and women.

SP City Rajesh Kumar said that today Imran Masood had gathered a crowd of his supporters at his residence without prior permission, in which a large number of people had gathered. He said that the code of conduct is applicable in the entire state. Also, he told that during this time the Kovid guideline was not followed. None of the people present there did not cover the face with a mask nor was social distance followed.
