Petrol and diesel prices in the country did not increase on the first day of July. There was no increase in prices yesterday i.e. on Wednesday also. However, there are constant reports that the prices of crude oil are going to rise in the international market soon. Therefore, the prices may increase in the coming days. There was a slight relief in the prices of crude oil in the international market yesterday, due to which the fuel prices have not increased today. Let us tell you, after the continuous growth for the last one and a half months, the prices of petrol and diesel are now at a record high. Also, the prices have crossed Rs 105 in many cities of the country. Petrol prices in Mumbai are running at Rs 105 per litre.

Petrol and diesel prices have been continuously increasing since May 4. Petrol prices have crossed Rs 100 and Rs 105 in many cities of the country due to the intermittent increase every day. These include Jaisalmer, Ganganagar, Hyderabad, Leh, Banswara, Indore, Jaipur, Bhopal, Gwalior, Guntur, Kakinada, Chikmagalur, Shivamogga, Mumbai, Ratnagiri, Aurangabad, Patna and Leh.

Prices vary :-
Petrol and diesel prices change daily at 6 am. The new rates are applicable from 6 am. Petrol and diesel prices almost double the price after adding excise duty, dealer commission and other items. Petrol and diesel prices change daily based on what are the crude oil prices in the international market along with the foreign exchange rates.
