New Delhi: Have you not received subsidy for domestic LPG cylinder in your bank account since last one year? If the answer is yes, then the government has stopped subsidizing domestic gas. The biggest reason for this is that since May 2020, there is no difference between subsidized and non-subsidised LPG prices, so the subsidy amount is not being transferred to any customer.
It has been more than 1 year but we have not received the subsidy of LPG gas cylinder, I have complained on the online portal but did not get any reply! @MoPNG_eSeva @IndianOilcl– Urvish Nandola (rUrvishnandola) August 29, 2021
Actually, a consumer has questioned @MoPNG e-Service, the official social media based grievance redressal forum for Oil & Gas Sector, on Twitter handle @MoPNG e-Service, ‘It’s been more than 1 year but we haven’t received LPG gas cylinder subsidy. I had complained about this on the online portal, but there was no response!’ The forum replied, ‘Dear customer, since there is no difference in the prices of subsidized and non-subsidised LPG from May 2020 onwards, no subsidy amount is transferred to any customer.’
Let us tell you, on 1st March 2014, the cost of a subsidized gas cylinder was Rs. 410.50, while the non-subsidised cylinder is priced at Rs. 1080.5. The price of 14.2 kg non-subsidized LPG cylinder has now gone up to Rs 884.50 in Delhi.
