PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Latest Update: The PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a major farmer welfare scheme launched in 2019. It provides ₹6,000 every year to eligible landholding farmer families in three installments of ₹2,000 each. The money is directly transferred into the farmers’ bank accounts.

20th Installment Released

On August 2, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 20th installment of the scheme from Varanasi. Around ₹20,500 crore was transferred directly to the bank accounts of nearly 9.7 crore farmers across India. With this, the government has now disbursed over ₹3.69 lakh crore since the launch of the scheme.

Next Installment (21st)

The 21st installment is expected to be released around October November 2025. Farmers are advised to complete their e-KYC and ensure their details are updated to avoid delays in payment.

Farmer ID Update

For the 20th installment, farmers without a Farmer ID also received the money. However, from the 21st installment onwards, Farmer ID will be mandatory along with e-KYC verification.
