Haryana to set up Export Promotion Bureau to support exporters


Gurugram: To promote exports, an Export Promotion Bureau will be set up in Haryana which will provide institutional support to exporters.

This announcement was made by Dr. Saket Kumar, Director General, Industries and Commerce Department, Haryana at the inauguration of the two-day ‘Vanjya Utsav’ organized at Apparel House Sector-44, Gurugram on Tuesday, 21 September. He said that we are not only giving incentives to the entrepreneurs and exporters of Haryana but also providing them business environment, connectivity and other government facilities. Giving information about the facilities and incentives being provided to the entrepreneurs and exporters in Haryana, he said that Haryana is today the fastest growing economy with an export value of Rs 1,74,572 crore in the year 2020-21.

This state level event is being organized by the Department of Industry and Commerce, Haryana and the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) working under the Union Ministry of Textiles as part of the celebrations of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

“District Level Export Promotion Committee (DLEPC) has been made functional in every district of the State to facilitate exports. Similarly, a State Level Trade Promotion Committee (SLTPC) has been made to review all issues related to logistics, agricultural exports and trade. ) has been formed. Service Exports,” he said. There are 35 blocks in Haryana, where no CLU is required to set up an industrial or export unit.
