Lucknow: The positive changes in the law and order and work front in Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath have continued to attract investment and businessmen to the state. In this sequence, Aditya Birla Group has decided to invest Rs 700 crore in Gorakhpur.
CM Yogi Adityanath gave information about this by sharing the news of a newspaper on Twitter on Monday. Accordingly, Aditya Birla Group has got approval from the administration to set up industrial paint manufacturing units in Gorakhpur. The report said the group had shown willingness to invest in the state eight months ago. Though it was not clear at that time how much investment would be made, it was decided to set up an industrial unit of paints. About 70 acres of land at Bhiti Rawat has been proposed by the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) to the company to set up the plant.
Company representatives had inspected the proposed land in February. The plant is expected to provide employment to 2,000 people. The administration has decided that the development fee for the land will not be charged from the company. The company will develop it at its own level. The company will require more water and electricity to set up the paint unit, which can be easily met in Gida as well.
