The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India has announced that it will increase the prices of all its models from next month as costs have increased.
“In response to our previous messages regarding increase in prices, we would like to inform you that the cost of the company’s cars has been negatively impacted as a result of increase in various input prices over the previous year. As a result, it is Maruti “It has become necessary to pass on part of the increased cost to the customers in the form of price increases,” the company said in a regulatory filing.
The auto major said a price hike is planned across all models in September 2021. Earlier in the calendar year 2021, the automobile major had increased prices for only the hatchback Swift and all CNG variants in January, April and July. Earlier in July, the company had increased the prices of different car models only for the hatchback Swift and all CNG variants. Ex-showroom prices (Delhi) were hiked by up to Rs 15,000 at that time.
