Tata launches its second mass-market EV, priced at ₹11.99 lakh

The Tata Tigor EV is the second mass-market electric car from Tata Motors in India. Base XE trim of electric Tigor starts at Rs.11.99 Lakh ex-showroom. Tata Motors’ Tigor EV comes in three variants, with the top-spec dual-tone trim priced at ₹13.14 lakh. Following are the pricing for the Tata Tigor EV:

Tata Tigor EV XE: ₹11.99 Lakh
Tata Tigor EV XM: ₹12.49 Lakh
Tata Tigor EV XZ+: ₹12.99 Lakh
Tata Tigor EV XZ+ Dual Tone: ₹13.14 Lakh

The Tigor EV has received 4-star NCAP safety certification for adults and children, which reflects Tata’s commitment to safety. The battery pack shell of Tata Tigor EV is impact resistant and meets AIS-048 requirements for nail penetration at the cell level.
The battery pack of the Tata Tigor EV is a 26 kWh liquid-cooled, high-energy-density battery pack with IP67 rating, which makes it weatherproof. The electric motor produces 74 horsepower and 170 Nm of peak torque, with an ARAI-verified range of 302 kms.

Commenting on the recently launched Tata Tigor EV, Shailesh Chandra, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors said, “EVs are rapidly gaining popularity due to increased customer comfort, as barriers to adoption have been removed. and hence the growing preference for eco-friendly solutions. This is led by our very own Nexon EV, which is the most popular EV in the Indian market today.”
