Ola Company’s first electric scooters, Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro will be available for sale for the first time today. The electric scooters were released on 15 August and had a maximum power of 8.5kW. They come in two battery configurations: the vanilla Ola S1 has a 2.98 kWh battery and the Ola S1 Pro has a 3.97 kWh battery. The deliveries of the Ola electric scooter are expected to start in October. Both the electric scooters include a 7-inch touchscreen display.
Ola’s recently launched electric scooters, the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro, will be available for purchase starting today, September 15, at 8 AM IST. In a blog post, the ride aggregator described the entire buying process. Vanilla Ola S1 can be bought for Rs. 99,999 ex-showroom and Ola S1 Pro can be purchased for Rs 1,29,999 ex-showroom. Both these prices are listed without the subsidized electric vehicles received in each state.
When the Ola electric scooter purchasing portal will launch on the corporate website, the potential consumers will have to pay a deposit of Rs. 20,000 and the rest are delivered before their Ola S1 or Ola S1 Pro. The blog also claims that deliveries will begin in October, although no exact date has been confirmed. For example, customers who have booked an Ola S1 or Ola S1 Pro electric scooter can cancel their orders at any time before they are dispatched. The electric scooters will be delivered directly to the customer’s home, and they will be notified of the estimated delivery. Dates within 72 hours of placing your order. As stated earlier, the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro were released with two battery capacities: 2.98kWh for the vanilla Ola S1 and 3.97kWh for the Ola S1 Pro. The limit on the east is 121 km/h and the maximum speed is 90 km/h. The latter, on the other hand, claims a specified range of 181 kms and a peak speed of 115 kms per hour. While only Normal and Sports are available on Vanilla Ola S1, Normal, Sports and Hyper are available on Ola S1 Pro.
They also come with a 7-inch touchscreen display, multiple microphones and AI voice recognition algorithm along with Ola Electric’s MoveOS operating system. The Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters also get a bunch of safety features which include an anti-theft system, geo-fencing and a flame-retardant battery that is also water and dust resistant.
