Maruti Suzuki continues to dominate the Indian automobile market, setting new benchmarks in sales and popularity. Known for its reliability, mileage, and affordability, the brand has once again shown its strength. In September 2025, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire achieved a new record by surpassing all other models in sales. Let’s take a look at the company’s full sales report and performance this month.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire Sets New Record

In September 2025, the Dzire became the company’s top-selling car with 20,038 units sold. This figure marks an impressive 50 percent rise compared to September 2024, when 10,853 units were sold. This remarkable jump highlights the Dzire’s growing appeal among customers. Its modern design, strong mileage, and affordable pricing continue to make it one of the most preferred sedans in the Indian market.

Maruti Swift Performance

The Maruti Swift retained its position among the best-sellers but saw a slight decline in numbers. A total of 15,547 units were sold in September 2025, which is 4 percent less than the previous year. Despite the drop, the Swift remains a youth favorite because of its sporty styling and comfortable performance. Its consistent demand proves that the Swift still holds a strong place in India’s hatchback segment.

WagonR Continues Its Popularity

The Maruti WagonR ranked third in sales with 15,388 units sold in September 2025. This marks a 15 percent growth compared to last year. The WagonR’s spacious cabin, family-oriented design, and trusted performance make it a dependable choice for Indian buyers. With its strong engine and low maintenance cost, the WagonR continues to perform well in urban and rural markets alike.

Fronx and Baleno Sales Overview

The Maruti Fronx, one of the company’s newer models, stood at fourth position with 13,767 units sold. Though sales dropped by 1 percent, the model still remains a strong player in the compact SUV category. The Baleno followed closely with 13,173 units, facing an 8 percent decline. Both cars, however, continue to attract buyers with their premium interiors and feature-loaded performance.

Ertiga and Brezza Performance

The Maruti Ertiga, the popular MPV, recorded sales of 12,115 units in September 2025, but sales fell by 31 percent compared to last year. Similarly, the Brezza’s performance dropped as well, selling 10,173 units—a 34 percent decline. These figures suggest that while compact cars are growing in demand, MPVs and SUVs are facing stiff competition in their segments.

Eeco and Grand Vitara Sales Drop

The Maruti Eeco sold 10,035 units in September 2025, witnessing a 36 percent decline from last year. Meanwhile, the Grand Vitara recorded sales of 5,698 units, down by 45 percent. Despite the drop, the Eeco still appeals to families and businesses looking for budget-friendly multi-purpose vehicles.

Alto, Victoris, and XL6 Figures

Maruti’s small car Alto saw a sharp decline in sales, with 5,434 units sold in September 2025, a 37 percent drop year-on-year. The newly introduced Victoris sold 4,261 units, while the XL6 sold 2,170 units—a decline of 42 percent. These numbers show how the company’s compact cars are being replaced by mid-range sedans and crossovers.

S-Presso, Ignis, and Celerio Sales Report

In September 2025, the Maruti S-Presso sold 1,774 units, a 42 percent drop. The Ignis sold 1,704 units and the Celerio 1,033 units, registering 32 percent and 68 percent declines respectively. These figures indicate a shift in buyer preference toward higher-segment models such as the Dzire, Baleno, and Fronx, which continue to lead Maruti’s success story.
