Hyundai Motor Group won 17 design awards at the ‘Red Dot Award’. The awards event was one of the largest design awards in the world. New technology campaign ‘Little Big e-motion’ and an infotainment system for electric vehicles ‘Jong-e’ won the grand prize.
Notably, Hyundai Motor Group has won 17 design awards including 2 grand prizes and 15 main prizes at the 2021 Red Dot Design Awards organized by the Westfalen Design Center in Nordrhein, Germany. Hyundai’s infotainment system ‘Zong-E’ for electric vehicles won Hyundai’s first Grand Prize in the UX category. The UX category managed to build on this with its eco-friendly theme ‘Paper (Jong-e)’. The ‘Jong-e’ UX design, first implemented on the ‘IONIQ 5’, uses a green and blue gradient color and parametric pixel design in the interior and exterior design of the IONIQ 5.
Additionally, the company’s new technology campaign ‘Little Big E-Motion’ won the Grand Prize in the ‘Film & Animation’ category. In this project video, Kids Mobility is implemented with Emotion Recognition Technology that enables communication and vehicle control functions between the car and passengers, helping to treat children.
Hyundai’s project video ‘Chatty School Bus’ won third prize at the 2017 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, and ‘Silent Taxi’ won the second prize at the 2019 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and won third prize at the 2019 New York Festival. Through awards, Hyundai Motor is now recognized in global competition.
