HPCL and Tata Power are working to set up EV charging outlets in several cities along highways across the country. Tata Power will provide its EV charging infrastructure that enables charging at HPCL petrol pumps through the company’s ‘EZ Charge Mobile’ platform.

Let us tell you that Tata Power currently has a network of over 500 public chargers in over 100 cities which have been installed at petrol pumps, metro stations, shopping malls, theaters and highways. With this, EV owners can charge their vehicles at nominal prices. These charging stations are available across all segments of the EV ecosystem including public, captive charging, home and workplace charging as well as ultra-rapid chargers for buses.

Mr. Sandeep Bangia, Head – EV Charging, Tata Power, said, “We are excited to partner with HPCL, who shares our vision of sustainable mobility. This strategic tie-up gives us access to HPCL’s vast retail base, especially in cities and along major highways. The move will greatly benefit EV users as it will not only provide them easy access to charging points but will also remove the range concern, which will result in widespread adoption of electric vehicles in the country. ”
