Amit Shah’s ‘fearless’ style in Kashmir, bulletproof shield removed from stage

Srinagar: Today is the last day of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir. The Home Minister on Monday handed over several schemes to Srinagar. During this he addressed a rally. Meanwhile, Amit Shah removed the bulletproof glass shield from the stage to show faith in the people of Kashmir. Amit Shah said, he wants to talk directly to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. During this, the people present raised slogans in favor of BJP.

I have come to Jammu and Kashmir for the first time after 5th August 2019. I want to assure you that Jammu and Kashmir will touch new heights of development. In 2024, you yourself will have witnesses to it. The Home Minister said that after Article 370, we had stopped the internet. Curfew has been imposed in the valley. The opposition alleged that why did we do this? Shah explained that if we had not shut down the internet, had not imposed curfew in the Valley, who would have died in the event of provoking the youth, the youth would have died. We did not want any young man to be shot.

Home Minister Amit Shah further said that Farooq Abdullah has said that we should talk to Pakistan. If I have to talk to the people, it will be with the people of Kashmir. I have extended a hand of friendship to the youth of Kashmir. We have no ill-will. We promise development of Jammu, Kashmir and Leh.
