All New Triumph Tiger 1200 Officially Teased India Launch Soon
Triumph’s flagship adventure tourer bike Tiger 1200 had its world premiere in December 2021. Now its all-new version is coming. The all-new Triumph Tiger 1200 has been given many updates as compared to before. A major change has also been made in this. The company has officially released the teaser of the motorcycle on its social media handle and website and hinted that it will be launched in India soon.
The new-gen Triumph Tiger 1200 will get completely new styling, new powertrain, new chassis along with many features. The new 1,160cc inline three-cylinder engine can be given in the motorcycle, which will have a T-plane firing order. This engine should be able to generate 150hp power at 9,000RPM and 130Nm peak torque at 7,000RPM, which is about 9hp and 8Nm more than the former.
The engine may come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Triumph says that the all-new Tiger 1200 is the most powerful shaft-driven adventure motorcycle ever. The weight of this adventure tourer is 25 kg less than its earlier version. According to reports, the road-biased GT version of the new Tiger 1200 could weigh 240kg and the off-road-focused rally range version could weigh 265kg.
The new Tiger 1200 gets a 20-litre fuel tank as standard, while the Explorer version gets a larger 30-litre fuel tank. It gets electronically controlled Showa semi-active suspension while the braking duties are handled by Brembo Stilma callipers. In terms of features, it will get a new 7.0-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, GoPro controls, etc.
The pre-bookings of the new Tiger 1200 motorcycle are already going on in India. When launched, the Triumph Tiger 1200 will compete with bikes like BMW R 1250 GS, Ducati Multistrada V4, Honda Africa Twin.
