Bengaluru: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Uttara Kannada MP Ananth Kumar Hegde has written a letter to CEAT Tires MD and CEO Ananth Vardhan Goenka. In the letter, he has requested to issue advertisements on the problems faced by the people by blocking the roads for prayers. The letter was written in response to an advertisement for ‘awareness campaign’ issued by CEAT Tires a month ago. In fact, in the advertisement, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is shown telling school children that ‘the road is for driving, not for firecrackers’. Bomb blast in the society so that no one is inconvenienced on the road. ‘
Although the advertisement depicts ‘Cricket Match Winning Celebration’, it has been released ahead of the Hindu festivals Dussehra and Diwali. Highlighting this “public message”, BJP MP Hegde, in his letter to CEO of CEAT Tires, said, “Your concern for public issues is to be appreciated. In this regard, I would like to ask you another message of people on the streets. I urge you to solve the problem. You should also issue advertisements for Muslims who block roads on every Friday in the name of Namaz and on other occasions. In his letter, Hegde explained how the roads were blocked. Due to this emergency vehicles like ambulance and fire brigade also have to get stuck in the traffic.
He said that at times people’s lives are put at risk. Just as the company has spread “awareness” with Aamir Khan’s advertisement, the BJP MP has also requested the company to spread awareness about the noise pollution caused by loudspeakers on mosques. Sometimes when there is too much noise, the people around have to face a lot of problems. Hegde has said, “Since you are extremely aware and sensitive to the difficulties faced by the common people and you also belong to the Hindu community, I am sure that you can feel the prejudice against Hindus for centuries. He further added that It has become a trend that some anti-Hindu actors, ignoring their evils, misunderstand everything about Hinduism.
