Ingredients For Besan Chilla
- 1 cup gram flour (besan)
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 1 tomato (finely chopped)
- 1 green chili (chopped)
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- Water (as required)
- 1 tsp oil or ghee for cooking
Preparation Steps
- Make the Batter: In a mixing bowl, add gram flour, turmeric, cumin, and salt. Gradually add water and whisk well to form a smooth, lump-free batter.
- Add Vegetables: Mix in chopped onion, tomato, chilly and coriander leaves. Stir well.
- Heat the Pan: Place a non-stick pan on medium flame and grease it with a few drops of oil or ghee.
- Cook the Chilla: Pour a ladle of batter on the pan and spread it gently like a pancake.
- Flip and Cook: Once golden on one side, flip and cook the other side until crisp and cooked through.
